  • LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy gets remixed

Ace LA Weekly news blogger (and our Dance Culture secret weapon) Dennis Romero tips us to a brand new, for-the-love-of-art secret remix of LCD Soundsystem's ennui-filled "You Wanted a Hit" by revered DJ Dave Dresden (formerly of Gabriel & Dresden, now of Dresden & Johnston).

It's unlikely James Murphy or his label and distributors will be ordering Dresden to cease and desist: the remix is pretty killer and turns the album cut into a straight-up club anthem.

Dresden shares his love for the lyrics: "any artist who has ever signed a track to a major label will be able to relate to the lyrics to this song!"
