UK singer Little Boots (English for "Caligula") is one of the most recent vocalists who have captivated the Brits and is now coming our way.
She will be performing at the El Rey tonight, where she will be presented by her LA-based label, indie upstart IAMSOUND.
But Little Boots (who is also in town working with classy producer Greg "The Bird and The Bee" Kurstin on new material), allegedly got her start not that long ago by uploading onto YouTube videos of herself performing covers at home. The most interesting choice--an attempt to rehabilitate SNL Guido-tastic 1990s dance anthem "What Is Love," by Haddaway.
