Orlando Holguin is Only Six, But He's a Famous L.A. Lowrider

by Shannon Cottrell | Monday, August 17, 2015

Orlando Holguin is a third-generation lowrider with strong roots in Eastside lowrider culture. His lowrider, called Baby Steps, is so artfully crafted that he's won stacks of awards. But Orlando isn't allowed to have a driver's license—he's 6 and Baby Steps is a bike. Lowrider bikes represent a Latino subculture invented on the Eastside, now rapidly spreading in Brazil, Japan, the Philippines, New Zealand and globally. Read the story at: SoCal Lowriders Are Taking East L.A.'s Once-Dark Subculture Global, But They Roll on Two Wheels.
