DineLA Restaurant Week
January is the month for restaurant weeks, it seems. DineLA's first event of 2014 kicks off on Jan. 20 and runs to Jan. 31 (a week being a relative term). Presented by the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board in partnership with American Express - which started doing this biannual event in January 2008 - this is a time when some of the best restaurants in town have lunch and dinner specials where you can get tiered, prix fixe meals for a fraction of what dining usually costs at Night + Market, FarmShop, littlefork, Craft, Horse Thief BBQ, Lukshon, the Bazaar and about 300 other restaurants. Reservations are available through the restaurant or with OpenTable. Check out the menus at the Discover Los Angeles website.
WHAT: DineLA Restaurant Week
WHEN: Jan. 20-31.
WHERE: At 300-plus participating Los Angeles restaurants.
COST: Prix fixe lunch and dinners of $15, $20 or $25 for lunch and $25, $35, $45 or $85 for dinner.

At the pre-event reception, hors d'oeuvres will be served to complement an array of special older vintages.
