Where the Chefs Eat is an ongoing series in which we ask a local chef to give us his or her favorite dining options. This week we talk to Karen and Quinn Hatfield, chefs/owners of Hatfield's and Sycamore Kitchen.

Chefs Karen and Quinn Hatfield's list of favorites reads like a who's who of hip Los Angeles restaurants, with a few lesser-known spots thrown in. Here, in no particular order, are 10 of the power couple's favorite places to eat around town.

10. Pailin Thai:

"We have been eating here for years. The Gai Lan with fried pork belly is so good."

9. Malibu Seafood:

"This is a really charming place right on the PCH. We get the fried fish and sit on picnic benches with our BYOB beers."

8. WP24:

"Amazing view. It's hard to find such a festive restaurant in L.A. They had one of the best foie gras dishes in town, prior to the ban. Now we need to go back and find a new favorite."

7. Tar & Roses:

"We have been spreading the word about this place, as it's a really stand-out restaurant. If you are on the Westside, it's a must. They have a fantastic braised lamb belly."

6. littlefork:

"Jason Travi is one of L.A.'s great chefs, and littlefork is a really charming neighborhood joint. We like to sit at the bar and eat brisket and clam fritters."
