626 Night Market Tomorrow, Vendor List And Map Announced

The 626 Night Market is up and running for the third time this year. It's this weekend on Saturday and Sunday at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. respectively, and as usual, the two day-long market will showcase a variety of pan-Asian food and businesses.

Organizers recently announced the vendor list at a press conference earlier this week. The complete list as well as a map of the event are after the jump.

In the past the market has undergone problems with overcrowding but has since fixed it with a larger venues. Widely considered a disaster with too little food and not enough space, the first market was held on a couple blocks in Pasadena. The second one -- which was moved to Pasadena City Hall -- was a huge hit. There were roughly 200 vendors and more than enough walking space. The Arcadia location will be the most spacious event yet.

In terms of food, though some San Gabriel Valley brick and mortars like Liang's Kitchen (Taiwanese fare), AU79 Teahouse (boba), Ten Ren (boba), and Tea Bar Starry will be present, the bulk of the vendors are community start-ups.

There are also a fair number of key community distributors who will be making their debut including AFC Soy Foods and Cal Fresh Vikon. AFC Soy Foods provides tofu to clients such as Vege Paradise, and Cal Fresh Vikon is one of the largest chicken processing plants for the area. Their clients include the Asian supermarket 99 Ranch and dim sum giants NBC Seafood, New Capital and Ocean Star.

The market is divided into six sections which include game booths, a sumo wrestling stage, a food truck square and a theatre screening area.
