The New Yorker's latest food issue (November 21, 2011) hits the stands, just in time for Thanksgiving. Add good food writing to the long list of what to be thankful for this year. In this issue?

Calvin Trillin -- who is a thank-you-god category all to himself -- on what to eat in Nova Scotia. Adam Gopnik, whose new book The Table Comes First is about food and France and lots of other related things, on Thanksgiving. Jane Kramer writes about foraging. Kelefa Sanneh on the coffee revolution. John Seabrook builds a better apple. And then, just for fun, essays by Paul Theroux, Dana Spiotta, Mohammed Naseehu Ali, Judith Thurman, and Louise Erdrich.
