On Saturday crowds of barbecue lovers came out to enjoy the first West Coast BBQ Classic in Long Beach. The event was held along the waterfront, steps away from the Queen Mary in the park. More than 30 of the top BBQ Pit-masters on the west coast competed in four categories, barbecue chicken, pork ribs, beef brisket and slow cooked pork, hoping the championship title. BBQ was made fun for the whole family, with a kid's zone for families, local food vendors, a craft beer selection and live music all day. All photos by Nanette Gonzales.
