18 of 43
Summertime 2013 started with a bang at the Hollywood Bowl. The stars fell out of the sky onto the stage for an evening that was hosted by Academy Award winning actress Angela Bassett. Honorees for the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame were Patti Austin, John Legend, Steven Tyler & Joe Perry. Arsenio Hall, Stevie Wonder, & Peter Fonda came out to present the honorees as they performed with the LA Phil Harmonic conducted by Thomas Wilkins. Proceeds from the event went to the LA Phil and its education programs, which reach more than 120,000 children, teachers and adults every year. All photos by Michele McManmon.
