The Duke Spirit, Crash Kings @ The Roxy

December 31, 2010
London based The Duke Spirit opened up the holiday weekend with a night at The Roxy on Thursday to an oh so close to sold out house we might just call it that anyway. With a new album due in February they're sure to be back in town before you know it, just in case you missed your flight back this week. LA's own Crash Kings opened the night with tight set that included a well received cover of Nirvana's "In Bloom". Who imagined that solo piano and vocal in the middle section would sound so sweet? All photos by Timothy Norris.
