The Custom Skates at Skateland on a Sunday Night Will Blow Your Mind

On Sunday night — Oldies Night — at Skateland in Northridge, it seems nearly every pair of roller skates is unique — well, except for the best friends who had theirs made to match each other's. Gator-skin booties, blue lace-up dress shoes, even Nike sneakers have been turned into roller skates, many of them by Rick at RS Customs in Lawndale. The eye-catching wheels make the Sunday night scene all the more vibrant.
