September at the Farmers Market

It's September at Los Angeles farmers markets, and to mark the 30th anniversary of the Santa Monica Farmers Market, this month's virtual grocery list comes from the Wednesday Santa Monica stalls. As we gear up for fall in Los Angeles, look for lamb's quarters, corn and heirloom tomatoes, the last of the peaches, fresh flageolets beans, peppers and grapes and squash, including some pretty stunning Kabochas. And yes, it tastes as good as it looks.
