I wish Green was the new Socialism, the party would be much larger and virtually every human being would be a member. Socialism is so universally accepted now that the word doesn't mean as much as it once did. It has lost its chic.

The Green Party IS the socialist party, but it's not new. only the names change but it's the same old, tired, failed ideas that make people dependent and take away freedom.

Unfortunately , you are incorrect. Socialist ideas are always successful and popular. That is why every nation on earth has adopted them. Even the staunchest conservatives rely on socialism to make societies function. And you make use of socialist successes every day of your life. So stop complaining. You'll have to find another bogeyman. Use Obama again. I hear his mother was a communist. Hehehehe !

I always think for myself. And I have never followed a mob . But that is neither here nor there. It is clear that you do not understand basic economics. Capitalism is based on the flow of money through the economy. Money, by the way, is nothing more than a tool a society uses for exchange. As long as money is being transferred, capitalism works the way it is supposed to . Unfortunately, some people love money more than capitalism and start to hoard it. When this happens, it is like stopping the water from flowing to the mill. The mill ceases to function. That is why all societies use socialism . The water (money) has got to flow. Governments discovered in ancient times that in order to alleviate social discontent and create a strong and supportive middle class, it had to create revenue. And certainly, no government would put its vital functions in the hands of private entities who do not serve the commonweal. All of societies important functions are public ones , not private ones. I tell you these things because you have listened to so much propaganda by selfish hoarders of capital that you have lost sight of what a society is and what capitalism is based on. Not only is your thinking total nonsense, but to believe any part of it is to be a part of the problem, not the solution. Always remember this concept if you don't remember anything else. Your purpose in life is not the accumulation of capital. It is to foster its transfer. Assuming you are a capitalist. The more capital distributed, the less need there is for social regulation of it.

how does the old saying go? 'the problem with socialism is eventually you run out of other people's money'. socialism is not successful, it has never been successful and is only popular in elitist, self-described intellectual think tanks made up of people who don't know how things work in the real world. people that think society can be perfected by manipulation and control. i am not complaining; i'm mocking all of you that think you're part of a movement. i'm pointing out the irony and hypocrisy in how many of these people that are so upset WANTED or voted for our current leaders who only managed to make things worse. Angry with Wall Street for financing the campaigns of the very political candidates these mob members supported. at least, the ones that voted. i would like to see a poll of registered voters among the mob, actually.

Mostly, i am pointing out that you are all being manipulated into this mob uprising and you don't even know it. it's sad. "Government has no power except that granted it by the people." Yet, reading the demands of the so-called 99% and the signs all over these protests, your solutions all lead to more government control. more laws, more regulations and less freedom. less liberty.

Try thinking for yourself for once. break away from the mob, and just think for yourself.
