Eastside Luv's Dia de los Muertos celebration at Mariachi Plaza

Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday rich with history and tradition. It's an opportunity for people to honor family, friends and loved ones that have passed on. Its also a celebration of the cycle of life and death. To get a sense of the excitement that this Mexican holiday has fostered in L.A. our photographer checked out several Dia de los Muertos events including festivities at The Autry, Olvera Street, Mercado La Paloma and Grand Park. All photos by Nanette Gonzales.
