Sayers Club music director Jason Scoppa presented an ambitious outdoor gathering called The Lot Party at the club's adjoining parking lot on Wilcox Ave. in Hollywood. Featuring full bars, food trucks and fierce rock bands including Dead Sara, Semi-Precious Weapons and Kid Karate, plus Rumer Willis and a She Wants Revenge DJ set, the afternoon event clearly didn't sell out, but it was quality not quantity that made it fun-- sound, style and scene-wise. We rocked Independence Day like the aliens were going to invade and then we continued to kill it throughout the rest of the month by catching Lightning In A Bottle, Comic-Con, Weird Al Burlesque, and the World's Largest Bondage Ball. If it was hot and happening in SoCal this month, we were there.
