Ghosts and ghouls returned to the surf once again for ZJ Boarding House's annual Haunted Heats Halloween Surf Competition at Santa Monica Beach on Saturday morning. Participants were challenged not only to dress cool, but to stay in character as they competed in the waves. All photos by Nanette Gonzales.
