This week Mars rover Curiosity invades nightlife's imagination at Blackstarr's Celebrate Curiousity event, Umlaut House's Candyland Contagion inspires a mylar utopia of creativity, the Conflux:Reflux show highlights art planned for display at the Conflux festival who's permits were pulled on a last minute technicality, and Camp Charlie's unicorn hordes descened on Dim Mak Studios for Invaded by Unicorns.

Science turns cool as BlackStarr's Celebrate Curiosity lands in downtown Pasadena commemorating the Mars landing with celebrity speakers including Bill Nye the Science Guy, and Elon Musk. Even Star Trek Voyager's Robert Picardo showed up.

    Sam's Hofbrau presented "Sam Tripoli's Rock N Pole Championship" this week at The Viper Room. Paired up karaoke singers and pole dancers competed for a nice cash prize and Hollywood Hustler gift bags.
