A little dust can't keep Coachella down: Day two of weekend one saw the winds rise in the evening, causing only slight production changes, but not enough to stall a handful of top name guests from joining in on the celebration. Nas brought up Jay Z; Pharrell brought up Nelly, Gwen Stefani and others late in his set. Headliners Muse rocked the Coachella Stage as did Ty Segall on the Outdoor Stage early in the day. • Daw Yee: Mission of Burma
L.A. has a very small pool of Burmese restaurants; among them, Daw Yee does not boast the most extensive menu. Nonetheless, Daw Yee, in Monterey Park, is fascinating for one big reason — namely, that it gives L.A. something unusual: a Burmese restaurant that caters to younger diners.
