CicLAvia in Downtown L.A.

Downtown Los Angeles shut down its busiest streets on Sunday for CicLAvia, the biannual event that celebrates biking culture by taking cars off the streets and getting people out into their environment. Plenty of activities, food and entertainment were lined up at stops along the route. New expansion routes added to Sunday's ride included local communities of Boyle Heights, Chinatown and Expo park. This lightened up the congestion of bikes in the center of the route and made the whole event a fantastic way to enjoy the city. All photos by Nanette Gonzales.
