Boing Boing Weekend of Wonder

Boing Boing Weekend of Wonder

September 18-20, 2015, Boing Boing and Baby Tattoo hosted a weekend of creative workshops, exciting technology demonstrations, astounding performances, exciting activities, delicious food, exhibits, and so much more at the beautiful historic Mission Inn. Attendees, fewer than 100 tickets made available, made their own juggling balls before learning to juggle from Lindsay Benner, were taught how to escape a straight jacket by Andrew Mayne, pick locks by John Park, how to make a trick deck by Mark Frauenfelder, and wean their cats off their litter addiction and start using the porcelain throne by Perre DiCarlo. On the entertainment side Dan Das Mann brought his fun mobile, Jim Turner and Mark Fite brought their amazing improv skills to the Girlie Magazine Show, and Martin Olson and Olivia Olson (Adventure Time's very own in real life father-daughter duo) gave a musical performance and signed copies of the upcoming book Adventure Time: The Enchiridion & Marcy's Super Secret Scrapbook!!! The catacombs of the Mission Inn hosted the automata Thomas Kuntz, and the Galleria of the Mission Inn hosted Michael Borys 49 boxes an interactive group experience where you crack codes and solve puzzles to solve a strange mystery. Guests also left with an incredible sway bag including a full sized drone and a Coop print on wood limited to an edition of just 100 from Prints on Wood. All photos by Star Foreman
