Ivan FernandezColombian cumbia supergroup Ondatropica performed their one and only L.A. show at the Mayan Theater with local latin superstars Very Be Careful, Buyepongo and Chicano Batman. After a rough start (the first one received harsh reviews), organizers decided to change locations to accommodate a larger crowd by setting up across several blocks of Pasadena's Civic Center district. Foodies strolled through the open area as they tried a variety of delicious asian foods including night market eats like squid skewers, curried fish balls, stinky tofu and Taiwanese sausage. Susan Slade SanchezThousands of people came out to enjoy the Long Beach Crawfish Festival at the Rainbow Lagoon. Plates were piled high with crawfish, yummy potatoes and sweet corn on the cob. A.J. Gibbs, Waylon Thibodeaux were just a few of the many great performers that provided music for dancing.
