Architect Gerhard Becker spent $5 million to build a 12,500-square-foot home in the Hollywood Hills. But when fire broke out, and a veteran LAFD firefighter died fighting the blaze, the D.A.'s office charged Becker with manslaughter. Becker has since repaired the home; earlier this month, he gave the L.A. Weekly a tour.All photos by Ted Soqui.
