A Saga in the Stars: A Tribute Event to a Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars fans were out in Alhambra on Saturday night for Gallery Nucleus' massive group show, "A Saga in the Stars: A Tribute Event to a Galaxy Far, Far Away." The art show coincided with May 4, a date that's taken an almost hallowed space on the calendars of fans of the space fantasy film franchise. (The reason for this is simple: "May the fourth be with you.") Party goers came decked out in their Star Wars finery -- costumes, light sabers, R2-D2 high heels and lots of t-shirts -- and sipped on cocktails like the Atom Smasher. With two floors filled with art, the collection featured a mix of paintings, sculptures and digital pieces from a mix of up-and-coming and established artists. Even Shag contributed to Saturday night's Star Wars mania.
