Where to Watch the Presidential Debate and Drink
The Clinton/Trump kickoff debate is going to be a doozy. Take a Lyft to one of these bars to watch it.
The bar at the Standard Hotel in West Hollywood is serving, red, white and blue drinks during the debate. And if you show up wearing a wig, they'll give you one of those drinks for free.
In addition to margarita and taco specials, Rush Street will be running Presidential Bingo during the debate, with categories like "Obamacare," "Putin" and "Candidate Interrupts Moderator."
The Lost Knight
There will be food and drink specials during the debate here, as well as two sassy beverages created — or at least named — just for debate season: a Trumparita (irony?) and a "Slow and Sour," which seems a bit of murky branding. But maybe it tastes good!
Ye Rustic Inn
Pretty regular night at the Rustic, except instead of sports on the many TVs, there will be debates. Happy hour pricing is in effect during the debates, with the pitcher-and-wings deal going until 9 p.m. In case you want to drown your sorrows in the best Buffalo wings in town.
This one is actually being hosted by a specific campaign — you know which one. (The staff may have met Clinton before. She visited the Abbey in 2007.) There will be $5 appetizers and mojitos at this straight-friendly bar, and probably a fair amount of yelling at the enemy.
