Westside Food Truck Central Lot Closes -- Temporarily?
A window opens, a door closes. As part of a broader crackdown on the constantly expanding fleet of nouveau food trucks, city inspectors are taking a hard look at food truck lots. Westside Food Truck Central (@FoodTruckCntral) was shut down in early August.

Westside Food Truck Central
Located at the corner of Washington Boulevard and Overland Avenue in Culver City, the lot has been operating for several months in a church parking lot. It started with lunchtime service and was soon popular enough, mainly with workers from the nearby Sony lot, to serve dinner several nights per week.
Word is that inspectors are fanning out to various lots, making sure they have the proper permits and bathroom letters. The bathroom letters seem to be the big sticking point. We'll see.
