Getting Our Just Desserts: A Sweet Extravaganza
Guests will enjoy a myriad of tastings from celebrity pastry chefs, confectioners, bakeries, coffee and tea purveyors; cooking classes; celebrity cookbook signings and dessert baking challenges. Proceeds support the Culinary Arts Program for at-risk high school students.

One of Pasadena's favorite cocktail bars is celebrating two years in business with a fête featuring hand-crafted drinks, a selection of wines, craft beers, as well as small plates prepared by executive chef Tim Guiltinan. An RSVP is required.

Malibu Chocolate Invitational
The ultimate event for yoga-loving chocoholics: a tasting of 10 different chocolate purveyors, from Theo to Intentional Chocolate, plus chocolate-flavored spirits, coffee and something called "chocolate meditation."

Long Beach Bake-Off
More than three dozen amateur bakers are expected at the 2nd annual Long Beach Bake-Off hosted by Long Beach's Community Action Team. Entries will be judged by local food personalities; the 1st place winners' favorite local charity/school/church will receive a $100 donation.
