A chile-infused five course menu prepared by Monique King, winner of Food Network's Chef Hunter, includes caramelized Brussels sprouts, arctic char, pork tenderloin, lamb pibil, and tamales, plus three tequilas.

Bay Area Brewery Fresh Beer Tasting
Taste six beers from three breweries up north -- Linden Street, Dying Vines and Pacific Brewing Labs -- in an event co-hosted by Sayre Piotrkowski, a cicerone (beer sommelier) formerly of Monk's Kettle in San Francisco. Expect dozens of international and local craft beers, food trucks, and cover bands in this annual event. Proceeds benefit a pet rescue organization.

Taste of the Eastside
Sample a variety of eastside eateries when L&E Oyster Bar, Pazzo Gelato, Malo, Reservoir, Guisados, Cliff's Edge, Xoia, Proof, Elf, Silver Lake Wine, Golden Road Brewery and Eagle Rock Brewery, among others, converge at Barnsdall Art Park for this second annual event. Buy VIP tickets for seminars led by Evan Kleiman of KCRW's "Good Food," pastry chef Ann Kirk of Little Dom's, Jen Smith of Full Moon Pickles, Marcos Tello of Neat, Talmadge Lowe of Pharmacie, Jessica Koslow of Sqirl Jams and Naoko Moore of Toiro Kitchen. Part of the proceeds benefit Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, Barnsdall Art Park, Rose Scharlin Nursery School and SEE Los Angeles.
