These 60 Great Restaurants Are Coming to Our Essentials Event and You Should Too
It's a-comin‘: Our biggest food event of the year is just a little more than a month away, and today we announce the final lineup of restaurants. Sixty of L.A.'s most exciting restaurants will be serving food at The Essentials this year on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 6 to 10 p.m.
The event, which celebrates our 99 Essentials issue (out Feb. 18), showcases restaurants I've personally invited, places that I think represent the best of L.A. eating in 2016. There are really few events in town where so many of our best chefs show up to feed the public. We aim for a wide range, from the highest end to the best street vendors. It's a cross-section of Los Angeles' most delicious offerings, under one roof.
Our final lineup of confirmed restaurants is as follows:
Aqui Es Texcoco, Animal, A.O.C., Baroo, Belcampo Meat Co., Bestia, Beverly Soon Tofu, Bludso's BBQ, Broken Spanish, Burritos La Palma, Button Mash, Cacao Mexicatessen, Cassia, Chengdu Taste, Chichen Itza, Colonia Publica, Coni'Seafood, Corazon y Miel, Crossroads, Dune, El Huarache Azteca, Guelaguetza, Guerrilla Tacos, Guisados, ink., Jitlada Southern Thai, Jon & Vinny's, Kiriko Sushi, Kogi BBQ, La Casita Mexicana, Le Comptoir, Little Sister, Lucques, Lukshon, Luv2eat Thai Bistro, Mariscos Jalisco, Maude, Mélisse, Night + Market, Osteria Mozza, Papilles Bistro, Park's BBQ, Philippe the Original, Pine & Crane, POT, Providence/Connie & Ted's, Racion, RedBird, République, RiceBar, Rustic Canyon Wine Bar and Seasonal Kitchen, Sotto, Spago, Sqirl, Szechuan Impression, Terrine, the Hungry Cat, Trois Mec, Union and Wexler's Deli.
VIP tickets, which get you in one hour early, have already sold out, but you can still purchase tickets for general admission. The $60 price tag covers unlimited food tastings, as well as wine and cocktail samples (this is a 21+ event). Ticket prices increase by $5 this coming Sunday at 11:59 p.m., so this is the week to buy. Info on The Essentials is available here. Hope to see you there.
