Chocolate and alcohol, as most foodies know, aren't the only substances useful for spiking one's libido. At Street, Susan Feniger is doing her darndest to get you in the mood--and not just on Valentine's Day. For the entire month, the menu will highlight foods people eat regularly, but that don't necessarily scream sex. Black pepper, ginger, rocket arugula (though the name does have a certain zing), and bananas are all known to have strong aphrodisiac qualities, according to Feniger and Street chef Kajsa Alger. And in the spirit of getting frisky, aphrodisiacal additions to the menu include black pepper Malaysian clams with ginger, fried plantains, and gouda salad with rocket arugula. You might not find the oyster special on the in-house menu, but your server will surely fill you in. A $45 prix fixe menu, laced with romantic-inspired goods, will be offered all of next weekend.
