Ludo Lefebvre Returns to The Taste, Alongside Nigella Lawson and Anthony Bourdain
The news that Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson's ABC reality cooking show The Taste had been renewed for a second season broke a few weeks ago. What wasn't clear at the time was whether L.A.'s own Ludo Lefebvre was going to return to his role as a judge on the show.
The U.K.'s Independent is now reporting that Lefebvre will appear alongside Bourdain and Lawson on season one of the UK version of the show, and Ludo's camp has confirmed to us that he'll also be resuming his role as judge on season two of the US version.
Of course, the story seems far more interested in reporting on the latest developments in Lawson's marital difficulties and divorce. British papers have been obsessed with the story ever since pictures came out of Lawson's husband, Charles Saatchi, choking her in a restaurant. The same story that announces Ludo's return to the show also reports that Lawson and Saatchi are filing for a "quickie divorce."
In other Lefebvre news, the chef makes a cameo in a Funny or Die video that makes fun of Café Gratitude and L.A. culture in general. Ludo poses as a diner who never showed up for a reservation. Ironic seeing as his new restaurant, Trois Mec, has a ticket system to avoid customers who do exactly that. See the video below.
