It's National Spaghetti Day: Is There an Never-ending Pasta Bowl Game Yet?

So here's a rhetorical question for you: how many National Food Days are we technically allowed? Can we designate all 365 of them, or are some days reserved for non-edibles, like National AK-47 Day, or National Monopoly Day? Today, for example, is National Spaghetti Day. Which means, perhaps, that you need to get over to Little Dom's tonight for their spaghetti and meatballs. Or you need to disinter your Atlas pasta machine and make your own. Or buy some of the good stuff at Bay Cities on your way home. Okay, maybe you're bowing to whatever corporate whatsit that dictates these things. But, really, having spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tonight is no hardship. Some comfort food to get you through the loss of Monday Night Football, maybe. So go make yourself some Rustichella d'Abruzzo, watch the Fiesta Bowl--no, it hasn't been franchised by the Olive Garden, at least not yet--and be grateful it's not National Cream Puff Day. (That was Saturday.)
