IACP Cookbook Award Nominations Announced
The International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) has announced their finalists and awardees for 2010, including the prestigious cookbook awards. This year saw over 500 entries, with finalists in 16 categories, include 49 culinary books selected by independent panels of food and beverage experts.
Among the finalists: Marcus Samuelsson and Heidi Walters' New American Table; Ad Hoc At Home, by Thomas Keller and Dave Cruz; My Bread, by Jim Lahey and Rick Flaste; My New Orleans: The Cookbook, by John Besh; and Rose Levy Beranbaum's Rose's Heavenly Cakes. Here's the complete list.
This year for the first time the IACP will also be giving out a "People's Choice" Cookbook Award in 2010. You can vote online for your favorite finalist by April 5.
Special Recognition awards and Awards of Excellence will be handed out; awards are also given out for food journalism. Winners will be announced April 22 in Portland during the IACP's annual conference. Get your trophy or whatever and hang out with Ruth Reichl!
