Gourmet Live: Coming to Your iPad, Not Your Mailbox, This Fall
Gourmet Magazine, you will remember, closed last November. The late, much lamented publication is not, sadly, being resurrected, but it will live on, at least on your iPad. Gourmet Live will be "coming to your favorite devices" (for free) this fall, bringing together "content, social and location-based technology, a variety of engagement options all around cooking, travel, entertaining, special occasions, fine dining, holidays and more!" What Ruth Reichl, who reportedly isn't involved in the project, had to say via Twitter this morning: "Thanks Tweeps, you've really made my day, week, month with all your support. Re: Gourmet; they're reviving the brand, not the magazine. Pity." We'll leave it at that.
