It can be tricky to determine whether a restaurant is nearing its end. Despite conflicting and vague reports, Bistro LQ is indeed closed. We tracked down chef-owner Laurent Quenioux, who confirmed that "Yes we r closed..sorry," via Twitter. Panicked followers have been tweeting @Bistrolq for updates. When asked about a reopening, Quenioux replied "Yes in a different location...will keep posted!"
Early last week there were false reports that La Bottega Marino was shuttering. Owner Sal Marino cleared up the talk of closure saying, "unequivocally, the rumor is untrue." In restaurant expansion news, Ian Olsen, a co-owner of Lemonade, said there will be "a big opening" for their newest Brentwood location, which is slated for May 1st. "We are going to do something cool, but I don't want to spill the beans," he said. There might not be as much booze available at Lemonade's grand opening party as there is at Sotto, but one can hope.
