Why not ditch the bbq this weekend and head over to Dessert Decadence at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. This is the third year of the dessert party, and over 400 attendees are expected to indulge in a evening of chocolates, pastries and other confections, featuring some of LA's popular chocolatiers and bakeries.
Desserts will range from gelato, gourmet ice cream (Lavender Honey & Salted Caramel), crème brûlée and cupcakes, provided by over 15 local and online vendors. Among the participating bakeries and chocolatiers: Layers Cupcakes, Frosting Forever, Milk & Krunchies, Bella Cucina, The Kress and Geisha House.
"The inspiration for this particular event was the South Beach Food and Wine Festival, where they had a specific event featuring desserts," says Dan Silberstein of DrinkEatPlay.com, the event organizer of Dessert Decadence. "I thought it would go over well in LA too."
Dessert Decadence: The Renaissance Hollywood Hotel, Sunday, July 26th from 5pm to 8pm. Admission is $40 and includes samplings of desserts, Naja Tea, and coffee. The hotel will provide a cash bar of dessert wines and cocktails.
