Best Massive Hong Kong Café Menu: JR Café
New York steak & sole fillet, JR Café, San Gabriel.
In the San Gabriel Valley, menus often top three digits, and if one is at a Hong Kong style café, the number continues into the stratosphere from there. 225, 231, 241... which brings us to the JR Café, where the dinner menu consists of 295 items. That's right, 295.
Something for everyone: surf and turf combos (New York Steak & Sole Fillet for $12.95), Chinese soups, seafood, omelets, appetizers, noodle dishes, it's all there, featuring good portions at great prices.
If that isn't enough, a specials board features even more values. And it's open until 2 a.m. on weeknights and until 4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, in case you get a case of the late night munchies. Want something to drink with that?, you have 49 beverage choices. If you can't find something on this menu, then you truly aren't hungry.
Yes, it's that time of year again, or almost. This is one of over 400 pieces that will be appearing in our upcoming Best of L.A. issue, out October 6th.
