7 Eleven Opens New Store: Free Pizza + The Laker Girls
Who'd have guessed that the debut of a new 7-Eleven would be such a grand event? This Friday's opening of the new convenience store in Compton will occasion the kind of fanfare normally reserved for oh, I don't know, a celebrity-named community center or a new hospital wing. In addition to an appearance by the Compton Fire Department, a live dee-jay and face painting for kids, the Laker Girls will be on hand to sign autographs and pose for photos. Sample 7-Eleven's new baked pizzas and try out this month's Slurpee flavor while dreaming of the start of the Laker season, which begins October 27th at the Staples Center against the Clippers.
Laker girls, without Slurpees
7-Eleven: 2251 West Rosecrans Ave., Compton. Opening event is from 12 - 4 p.m., Friday, September 18th.
