The details are still sketchy, but close friends of musician and artist Gidget Gein (aka Brad Stewart) tell us he was found dead yesterday of an apparent OD in his home in Burbank. Considering his macabre sensibilities, we'd hoped this was some kind of goth stunt, but calls to the LA Coroner today confirm the passing.
They were at the Getty Museum this past week. Masses of them. I was there with my dad and all of a sudden we were surrounded by a crowd of uniformed students. I went to Catholic school as a kid. It brought back, uh, fond memories of mean nuns, pleated red tartan skirts that would never stay properly pleated, sailor blouses, and neckties. As you can see in the picture, the Japanese girls are wearing their school neckties short these days, with white shirts sloppily tucked in. The two girls holdin

Last night Marilyn Manson stepped up his call-to-arms with a series of MySpace bulletin incitements that, alleges the Buddyhead website, urge his fans to "kill all journalists that have the cowardice to be anonymous."
The Buddyhead post identifies the following updates:
Marilyn Manson- kill all journalists that have the cowardice to be anonymous. 1 hour ago from mobile Mood: you are dead.
Marilyn Manson- talk is cheap until we find out where you live. 1 hour ago from mobile Mood: you are de
Our friend BrianA few months ago, Marilyn Manson got upset about a story we published and used his MySpace to rant and threaten our reporters (and journalists in general) with the wrath of his minions. Here's an excerpt:
But if one more "journalist" makes a cavalier statement about me and my band, I will personally or with my fans help, greet them at their home and discover just how much they believe in their freedom of speech. I dare you all to write one more thing that you won't say to
