On the blog, he writes that in 1954 Edythe gave him a paperweight with a George Bernard Shaw quote:
"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. The unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man."
I owe much of my success over the last 60 years in the worlds of home building, financial services and philanthropy to the philosophy contained in that quote.
He writes that the blog will offer his take on everything from politics to L.A. happenings to how he spends his downtime.
