An only-in-Los Angeles police chase unfolded on live television last night and, yes, your eyes weren't deceiving you. (Video is embedded below).

The rider appeared to turn around and give pursuing officers the one-finger salute before standing atop his seat and, arms stretched to his side (and no where near the handlebars), do a trick stunt riders call the Christ ("Standing on either tank or seat while assuming the pose of Jesus Christ"). He appeared to do that last trick at least twice.

Such a bad boy.

Authorities in San Bernardino County tried to stop the rider for alleged reckless driving but the suspect took off and led cops on an hour-long chase that went into Los Angles County and then back to that Inland Empire area.

It started about 6 p.m., authorities said, and California Highway Patrol officers and other law enforcers tracked the suspect to San Dimas, Pomona, Claremont and La Verne.

At one point the rider, cornered near a cul-de-dac, brushed by the door of a CHP patrol car. (Skip to about minute 7:20 on the video if you want to see things get crazy.)

At times it appeared he was blasting through intersections and moving at high speeds down Foothill Boulevard as television helicopters tracked the pursuit.

Strangely, despite the rebellious posturing, the rider stopped at a gas station at Cucamonga and San Bernardino streets in Ontario and laid on the ground to surrender peacefully.

He gave a reporter his Instagram account and spoke to a KCAL 9 crew as if he had just won a race at Daytona. "I just want to say I love my family and my two baby girls," he said as he was led away.
