Wu-Tang-Affiliated Rapper Reportedly Cut Off His Own Penis
Attempting suicide is the ultimate act of self-hatred (or self-pity). But cutting off one's own penis is downright insanity. Allegedly.
Cops confirmed to L.A. Weekly they went to a Studio City residence early today to check out an attempted suicide report.
The rest of the story, according to TMZ, is that Christ Bearer (Andre Johnson) of rap group Northstar cut off his own member:
Ironically, it would be almost manly to have to bear the pain associated with cutting off one's own manhood.
Anyway, the site says Mr. Bearer also jumped off the balcony of an apartment he shares with fellow MCs and ended up critically injured.
A witness told TMZ that he was "screaming incoherently."
LAPD Officer Rosario Herrera told us police responded to a residence in the 4500 block of Colfax Avenue at 12:50 a.m. based on a report of an attempted suicide. Cops were there, she said, "just to make sure there was no crime involved."
The L.A. Fire Department went to the same location at the same time based on a report of an "unspecified medical emergency," spokesman Brian Humphrey told us.
Bearer says on his Facebook page that he was "discovered and signed by the RZA [of Wu-Tang Clan] in 1998." He appeared on the 2004 album RZA Presents Northstar, which was produced by RZA.
