Woman Who Threw Puppy Into Traffic Charged
A woman who allegedly threw a puppy into oncoming traffic was charged with felony animal cruelty Friday. The 21-year-old suspect, Danielle Graham, was also charged felony battery on on a police officer after she allegedly injured a cop who tried to arrest her following the canine fatality in Hawthorne.
Authorities allege Graham threw her boyfriend's puppy pit bull into traffic at 130th Street and Prairie Avenue about 1 p.m. Wednesday. Hawthorne cops on patrol said they witnessed the incident.
Apparently the woman and her boyfriend had been arguing when she tossed the dog into the street (it was struck by a car). The bf, 24-year-old Inglewood resident Hakeem Funtua, also allegedly struggled with cops and had to be pepper sprayed.
