A woman who fell out of an LAPD cruiser with her dress up above her waist says she was being sexually assaulted by a cop in the back of the car before she spilled out onto Olympic Boulevard downtown.

Kim Nguyen, a 28-year-old pharmacist who had been eating and drinking with friends in Koreatown before she was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public after 2 a.m. on March 17, is suing the department.
In a videotaped deposition, part of which aired on CBS Los Angeles last night, she said:
He was grabbing my left inner thigh, um, trying to, I'm assuming, opening my legs .... my throat grabbing at it, pulling my ear ... towards him.
The television report didn't answer the question of how she ended up on the road at Olympic and Grand Avenue downtown in the middle of the night.
Suspects are supposed to be belted into so-called radio cars. Most police-spec vehicles come with their rear door lock switches and handles disabled so prisoners can't escape.
Officers reportedly said the cruiser accelerated from a stop, causing Nguyen to fall out, but security video appears to show the cruiser in question gliding normally through the intersection, with another following.
When we originally reported on Nguyen's story we asked, "What were the officers allegedly hiding?"
Nguyen's attorney, Arnold Casillas, alleges that she was the only one picked up in a group of revelers she was with that night, according to CBS L.A.
Original reports on the case alleged that cops contacted Nguyen and her friends once, and then came back later and arrested her as she was either waiting for a ride or walking to a coffee shop.
The officers in the cruiser carrying Nguyen were ID'd as David Shin and Jin Oh. The LAPD had no comment last night.
The fall put the woman in a hospital in critical condition. She suffered a broken jaw, lost teeth, and brain injuries, according to reports. Nguyen's jaw was wired shut and she was put in a medically induced coma before she recovered.
