It's anyone's guess where Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will land when he leaves office and looks for a new gig. It's not even clear if he'll be able to pay his bills. But one clue about his future is emerging.
The man who has lived in the official mayoral residence, Getty House, in recent years appears to want to move to Venice when he leaves office July 1:
Every other yuppie in L.A. wants to move to the coastal community, too: Abbott Kinney Boulevard has turned into a Boutique Row where surfboards are used as decor and Silicon Beach is no place to ride waves.
Million-dollar homes abound.

LA Observed broke the news last night that our outgoing mayor wants to be a part of the westward migration.
His spokeswoman, Vicki Curry, didn't exactly deny it, either. She said, in part, that "he wants to live there."

Don't we all.
To be a bachelor ex-mayor in a booming beach town sounds idyllic. He'll rack up way more successes on the boardwalk than he did in City Hall, that's for sure.
