Villaraigosa's New Girlfriend Played the Villain in "Terminator 3"
Antonio Villaraigosa was spotted leaving a West Hollywood restaurant on Tuesday night in the company of a tall, blonde woman. The former mayor, and likely candidate for governor, leads an active social life. So who's the new flame?
Thanks to Google, we have an answer. She's Kristanna Loken, the actress best known for playing the villain in Terminator 3.
The happy couple are not being too secretive about it. On her public Instagram account, Loken posted photos of herself cozying up with Villaraigosa at the Kentucky Derby, which was held on Saturday.
Loken is 35. Villaraigosa is, well, a little older. According to her IMDB bio, she grew up in the Hudson River Valley in upstate New York, and started modeling at 15. The Terminator role was her big break. Here's a memorable scene from that:
Loken starred opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger, who became governor a few months after the film came out.
"Arnold was really wonderful to work with, and as the months progressed, our working relationship progressed," she said in an interview. "We really by the end had a lot of respect for one another."
Villaraigosa could probably say the same thing.
In 2003, Loken was #3 on the Maxim Hot 100 list. Here she shares some of her thoughts on that. Subsequently, she starred in BloodRayne and several other movies and TV shows.
In 2013, she appeared with Bruce Dern in Fighting for Freedom, a low-budget independent film about immigration. The screenplay was written by her father, Chris Loken.
Chris Loken recently posted on Facebook that he screened the film at a church in Chatsworth, and Villaraigosa was in attendance. Afterward, Villaraigosa called it "heart wrenching." (Variety called it "well meaning but incredibly stilted.")
Kristanna Loken is divorced, an accomplished equestrian, a yoga practitioner, and she enjoys volunteering with children in South Africa. According to her IMDB profile, she's 5 feet, 10 3/4 inches tall.
Here's the video of them leaving Craig's in West Hollywood on Tuesday. Note that she gets behind the wheel of his Chevy Volt. Also, credit to the paparazzi for asking a policy question.
