(Updated after the jump). Mixed martial arts fighter Tito Ortiz was arrested shortly before noon Monday after his live-in girlfriend, former porn star Jenna Jameson, said he assaulted her and police sent to the scene then reported seeing at least one visible injury on her, Huntington Beach police told LA Weekly.
Lt. Mike Reynolds said Jameson's father called authorities about 9:53 a.m. to report that domestic violence had occurred at the home the pair shares in the 16700 block of Baruna Lane in Huntington Beach. After investigating the situation, officers arrested Ortiz about 10 minutes before noon on suspicion of felony domestic violence, he said.
The 35-year-old Ultimate Fighting Championship star was taken to the police station for booking and remained there early Monday afternoon. Bail had been set at $25,000, Reynolds said.

Although TMZ reported that Jameson said she would "press charges," the lieutenant said it's not necessary for the victim to pursue a complain in this case: Officers independently verified that a case of alleged domestic violence had taken place and in fact have to make an arrest under state law when they observe injuries that are suspected to result from such violence.
(Update): Jameson told TMZ that she obtained a restraining order against Ortiz. UFC boss Dana White told the site that it's possible the organization could cut Ortiz over the arrest. But the UFC and Ortiz have generated a lot of publicity over threats to part ways in the past, and White is a keen showman. "Other than going on a killing spree, being accused of domestic violence is the worst thing you can have going for you," White told TMZ.
Reynolds would not describe the injury. Ortiz and Jameson have 13-month-old twin boys together.
We had been to a Huntington Beach home the pair shared a few years ago: It was a compact, $1 million-plus, townhouse-sized residence with a makeshift playground in the back for Ortiz's son from a different woman.
