Tom Cruise Prowler Tased In Beverly Hills
Cops were called to the Beverly Hills home of Tom Cruise last night to deal with a "prowler." It turns out this might have just involved a drunk neighbor.
The news first hit the world via Twitter user BHScanner, which noted that officers were called to a home in the 1000 block of Calle Vista in Beverly Hills in shortly after 8:30 p.m. last night.
Given the tony, north-of-Sunset-Boulevard location, journalists got to work:

Shortly before 11 p.m. CBS Los Angeles said the possible intrusion (the outlet called it burglary) "reportedly" happened at Tom Cruise's property.
Then the Los Angeles Times weighed in with official word from Beverly Hills police shortly before 11:30.
Here's what appears to have happened: The alleged intruder was tased by a private security guard at the location.
Cops arrived, summoned paramedics, and the suspect was taken to a hospital to be checked out. City News Service said the guy had also been detained by cops.
NBC Los Angeles' Robert Kovacik says that the intruder might have been a drunk, confused neighbor who happened upon the wrong property:
From BHScanner's tweets it seemed like there was some pandemonium outside Casa Cruise.
