'The Hangover,' Or Something Worse? College Student Jamie O'Connell Disappears After Being Seen At Bel Air Party
[The case of Jamie O'Connell has been solved: See a new post on the case here].
Hopefully this is just another hangover gone a little sideways: A 20-year-old Pennsylvania college student went missing over the weekend after he attended what appears to have been someone's graduation party at a Bel Air residence near UCLA.
Family and friends have distributed a flier with his picture and have encouraged supporters to tweet for information leading to his location. James Daniel O'Connell, a.k.a. Jamie," was last seen at the party about 2 a.m. Saturday, according to Los Angeles police.
Bloodhound handlers hired by his family used dogs to track his scent south down Sepulveda Boulevard from Sunset Boulevard, close to the party, but it wasn't clear if the scent followed him coming or going, according to KCAL9 News.

CBS2 reported that his family hired a private detective and went door-to-door in a search for him Sunday. The case is unusual because O'Connell was described as being in good mental health.
He measures 5 feet, 7 inches and weights 140 pounds, according to police. O'Connell has short blond hair and gray eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department at 213-996-1800.
