It's St. Patrick's Day, the Cinco de Mayo of the East Coast, the day we remember America's original Mexicans, the Irish (how soon we forget), the time for the pukin' o' the green.
You get the picture. Enjoy.
Just know that the Los Angeles Police Department and other agencies will be on high alert for drunk drivers tonight. Use Uber, Lyft, public transportation or Designated O'Driver.
The LAPD says that from 2010 to 2014, three-fourths of DUI-connected deaths during the St. Patrick's Day "holiday period" involved drivers who are well above the .08 blood-alcohol limit.

"More than 1,000 people have died in alcohol-related collisions in California every year since at least 2000, data collected through the Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System of the CHP shows," the California Highway Patrol said in a statement.
According to police, here's the 411 on the St. Patrick's Day crackdown, which will last through the weekend:
-Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., a checkpoint will be happening in the heart of clubland, at Hollywood Boulevard and Gower Street in Hollywood.
-Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., the LAPD will be operating a Marina del Rey–adjacent checkpoint on Lincoln Boulevard and Maxella Avenue.
-Tonight from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., extra cops will hit the streets of LAPD's Central Bureau area, which includes downtown, the true Eastside (Boyle Heights) and neighborhoods just west of downtown (Westlake). Police call this kind of anti-drunk operation a "saturation patrol."
-Tonight Pasadena police will have extra drunk driver–hunting cops on the streets of their fair city, according to a statement.
-Friday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., a checkpoint will be awaiting your arrival at Sunset Boulevard and Micheltorena Avenue in Silver Lake.
-Friday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., a saturation patrol will hit the streets of LAPD's Devonshire Division area in the San Fernando Valley.
-Friday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., a saturation patrol is scheduled to strike LAPD's 77th Street Division area of South L.A.
-Friday from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., a saturation patrol is planned for the streets of Hollywood.
