Someone Wants AJ McCarron Deported so Katherine Webb Will Be Single
A few days ago, ESPN commentator Brent Musburger launched the career of Katherine Webb, the girlfriend of University of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron. While narrating a football game, 73-year-old Musburger noticed the camera land on Webb, McCarron's lady of one month, and he went on a drooly, dirty-old-man tirade that transpired as follows:
"...you see that lovely lady there? She does go to Auburn, I'll admit that, but she's also Miss Alabama, and that's A.J. McCarron's girlfriend. Wow, I'm telling ya, you quarterbacks, you get all the good-looking women. What a beautiful woman! Whoa! So if you're a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throw it around the backyard with pops."
So that was weird, but what was weirder was that Webb immediately became an internet sensation. Her Twitter followers exploded to over 263,000, she got mad interviews -- including one with The Today Show -- and now kind of everybody knows her name.
Well, things have now take a turn for the strange in this already bizarre, internet-and-old-man-lust fueled scenario. An official White House petition has been created to have McCarron deported, so that Webb will become single.
Of course, the petition is a joke, because McCarron is all-American and was born in the states and therefore has no place to be deported to, but still, this is taking things a little too far. According to Buzzfeed:
Whitehouse.gov petitions [are] an extension of your first amendment rights as an American. If enough people (25,000) sign a petition over a set period, the petition will be reviewed by White House staff. So far there's only five signatures, but if 24,995 more people sign on, people in Washington will have to discuss the possible deportation of AJ McCarron...
Oh, lol, whoever created this. It also comes on the heels of some speculation that McCarron was pissed off that Webb received all the attention, when the game she was attending turned out to be one of his best of the season.
Poor McCarron. Fortunately he has Webb to console him.
